Beau’s Big Journey Home

Some stories feel like they come straight out of a movie, and Beauregard’s is one of them.

Just a few months ago, our sweetest 90-pound gentleman was hours away from euthanasia—alone, misunderstood, and nearly out of time. When we pulled him from the shelter in March, we knew he was special. Calm, kind, and unbelievably gentle for a giant, Beau quickly became a favorite in our care. What we couldn’t know then was how far he’d travel to find the place he was always meant to be.

This weekend, Beau’s new family drove all the way from Virginia just to meet him—and from the moment they laid eyes on him, it was fate. Beau didn’t just win over Mom and Dad… he also made fast friends with his new canine sister, Cali. The two headed back north side-by-side, tails wagging, ready to begin their new life together.

It’s still hard to believe that a dog this incredible almost didn’t get a second chance. His story is a reminder of why we do what we do—because every underdog deserves time, love, and a forever family willing to drive across states just to say, “You’re ours.”

We’re endlessly grateful to Matt & Taaqia and the team at 7 Lakes Kennels, who fostered Beau, kept him safe, gave him structure, and stood by him until the perfect home arrived. Foster families truly make rescue possible—one life at a time.

Cheers to Beau.
To soft beds, belly rubs, and never wondering again what tomorrow holds.
Your forever starts now.
