Thelma’s (Now Doris’s) Forever Fairytale

Just one month ago, Thelma was picked up as a stray by our friends at @burlingtonanimalservicesnc—underweight, covered in deep lacerations, and unsure of what came next. Today? She goes by Doris, rocks a new collar, and is officially home. 🏡✨

After a full recovery, vetting, spay, and some much-needed TLC, this pint-sized princess completed her 2-week Foster-to-Adopt trial with flying colors—and her new pawrents made it official. From barely surviving to fully thriving, Doris is living proof that a little time and a lot of love changes everything.

We’re incredibly grateful to the shelter team who cared for her in her most vulnerable days, and to Doris’s new family who saw her sparkle even before her coat grew back.
